Give love.

Every attack is really a call for love.

Right now this country is going through not only #covid19 and finally seeing the other side of the curve, but civil unrest. The tragic death of George Floyd has (sadly) brought racial injustice to our nation in a way not seen since the civil rights era.

Just like I know there will be good things from #covid19 — like so many people finally getting into going within, meditating, maybe trying yoga (highly recommend!) — good will come out of what’s happening all across this country.

Every attack is really a call for love. I was reminded that “hurt people hurt people”. I’m also reminded, love is the answer—so is forgiveness. This is in no way a call to ask anyone to roll over, this means, a call for love is required. They say the personal is political. I now see the real work as embracing we are all spiritual activists.

Even in our own small way, helping a neighbor. Offering an ear and support to someone that could use your kind words. Looking at our part—even if it’s small.

Oprah once said, “in all my years doing my show, I’ve learned that what people really want is to feel validated”.

That’s the absolute truth. Give love.
